Nose of black fruit and tilled black soil. Big, sweet overly ripe black fruit, with big tannins on the palate. Somehow the sweetness seems out of balance. A quality wine, but not my style.

Rich aromas of dark berry fruit and smoky spices. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with oaky notes, black pepper almost jammy. Medium+ finish with soft yet lavish tannins ending with berry fruit. Very Nice will improve with time.

Great estate cab from DR Stevens. Blackberry, cassis, vanilla, nice balance mid plate, long earthy finish with leather and tobacco balanced with dark fruit.

2009. Dark cherry nose. Fruit forward with blueberries and cherry. Not a lot of tannins or acid. We didn’t let it breathe initially. Later it had hints chocolate as it opened and a bit of bitterness or pepper as it quickly closed.

This was a rich cab full of tannic structure and a wonderful chocolate finish that continues well after the wine is gone.
