Trocken Riesling
Crisp and bone dry German Riesling perfect for hot days. This trocken from the Pfalz is a great example of those German wines. Delicious, but not for everyone.

Sep 5th, 2024Dry German Riesling. Bright nose with citrus. Palette has great acid, red apple and lime with some honey coming through on the finish. Great dry finish

1 person found it helpfulOct 18th, 20142011 Dr. Buerklin-Wolf Riesling Pfalz QbA. From one of the largest (110 ha) privately owned wine estates in Germany. The estate Riesling, a blend of top sites in the Bereich Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse, from Deidesheim and Wachenheim. Tried various vintages of this wine and it never disappoints, pure mineral spice, tangy and textured. Delicious from the approachable 2011 vintage.

Sep 20th, 2015I rarely get to enjoy properly aged Riesling. The little bit of rs is well integrated, dried lemon peel and some candied apricot are pretty. Acidity has mellowed, maybe a bit too much, there’s no electricity running through it.

Sep 14th, 2021Fragrant, floral, fresh with an intense focussed line. Less concentrated than its elder siblings but a lovely drop nonetheless.

Dec 31st, 2020Absolutely stunning nose, classically riesling. Bright, zippy, fresh, and every other adjective to describe the vivacity of this taught and angular juice. Tons of citrus washing over the mineral backbone like a tsunami, this wine is extremely expressive and approachable, even if you dont like riesling because its “too sweet”. This wine will change your perception tout suite. Its fully dry and is fantastic with food ( currently enjoying it with some rouge creamery oregon organic blue cheese, [voted best cheese in the world in 2019!] value wise, I dont think it gets better than this, this wine will continue to be amazing in 10-20 years, hopefully some of it lasts until then
