Nose is aggressively mineral with maybe some citrus pith. Wine seems angry. Wow, disjointed but mineral, mega mineral and some citrus that is telling me to back off. Structure and length are there but this is mean as a mofo.
Ok after 10 minutes this decided to play nice. Very elegant and pure with such clearly defined citrus and peach. Complex and dense and so so mineral. Dances. 9.2 to 9.5.

14’s at BW are 🔥🔥🔥. Sick nose of confectionary citrus. Huge minerals, wood smoke, just wow. Pink grapefruit. Super expressive. Super textured, deep and man that acid is off the chains. Superb playful minerality and a long salty finish. Wow. This is so good

Jun 23rd, 2020Nose is a hint reduced but will go away with air. Huge layers of ripe dripping citrus. Grapefruit, tangelo, blood orange, huge minerals. Very expressive and aromatic. Even sage and herbals. Just gorgeous. Reduction goes away in 5 minutes. Palate is an exercise in supreme elegance. Wonderful citrus fruits and a hit of creaminess but also acid, saline, minerals and an herbal streak. Concentrated and chewy with lovely delineation and saltiness on the finish. Long and so much energy and finishes with confectionary grapefruit. Wow. So juicy. A complete wine firing on all cylinders.

Much more open than Gaisböhl with lemons & limes + a bit of sandy minerality. Such a beautiful mouthfeel with more body and so much more depth & length vs Gaisböhl. Amazing purity and already so approachable. Great length. A brilliant wine. One of the best of ‘22?

Endless length. The flavour just keeps building and building and lingers long after the last sip. Bristling acid, complex aromas (citrus, sage, nuts), mouthwatering citrus palate.
