1912 Andrew James Symington became partner in Dow's and today, five members of the 4th generation Symington family own and manage this historic house. 10 Years" indicates an average age – this Aged Tawny Port is a blend of older wines, matured in oak casts. Medium tawny color with aromas of sweet dried fruits, citrus and nutty notes. On the palate sweet ripe fruit, sweet cinnamon ending with fig, marzipan and cacao notes. Smooth, medium+ length. Nice value. Drink now, no bottle age benefit. Tasting Sample.

I wish I always had a bottle of this on hand! So good. Sweetness perfectly balanced by the alcohol.

Walnut, toffee and oak with a bit of raspberry. The sweet mid does not overpower the rest of the flavors. Finish relatively long of sweetness and berry.

Best enjoyed at cellar temp and after a day of air. Acidity cuts through the sweetness, very balanced and delicious.

Wine Essentials: Classic World Wine Tour @iceculinary

Institute of Culinary Education wine tasting class.

This received special attention from me. Love after dinner wines.

Instead of sipping and tasting, drank and enjoyed.

Paler reddish amber colour, excellent taste, smooth, just delicious.

Ruby-Amber in color, smell of vanilla, caramel, dried mango and dried apricot, medium body, good mouth feel, quite sweet, with a bit of heat after swallow.

This is fantastic. Very good example of a 10 year tawny port, and a relative bargain at $30/bottle considering the quality.
