Deep #ruby red color, medium #viscosity, nose #screaming #spices (black pepper) and concentrated prunes, darks fruits, sharpness in between. Palate is powerful, rich, #silky textures balanced with soft #tannins. Full bodied, darks perfectly ripe fruits (blackberry, prunes...), medium #acidity. Can sleep for few more years but great today. #Emergence is very structured wine. Generously shared with me by Randall, who worked for Rosenthal at the time. Legendary wine made from a tiny parcel of old vine Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre I believe. Naturally made and aged for years in barrels before bottling. Drinks like an aged CDP and was a special treat.

Dangerously easy to drink. Light compared with the other southern Rhône that night, while striking a great balance between rich soil and approachable freshness.
