Bourgogne Passetoutgrains Gamay Pinot Noir

Popped and poured; no formal notes. This is a rustic Passetoutgrains with funky dark fruits and earth the predominant characteristics. There is good structure and it works really nicely with lamb merguez for lunch. Charming.

Who says Passetoutgrain isn’t delicious? Simple but crushable. Juicy, slightly herbal, and perfect for mid week drinking. Great value

Its entry level burgundy but quaffable. It must be decanted for at least an hour before drinking.

Fruit and cherries, certainly enjoyable for 10 yrs old.

#gamay #pinotnoir #passetoutgrain #bourgogne I bought this in Paris 13,15€ and I think it's great. It seems like a perfect blend between Morgon and Côte de Nuits. The aromas change constantly. Clear spicy notes of fennel, raspberries and pepper.

Emily liked it a lot, lovely wine, did not give Elizabeth a headache.

French counterpart to last week's Eveningland. This one, as expected is much earthier, more acidic, and more austere. Notes of fresh-picked Bing cherries, wet chalk and clay,

Juicy black cherry. Nice minerality. Highish acidity. Maybe a bit ripe/boozy if I’m being picky but that improves with some air. Rock solid for $20. Edit: Dead on day 2 deducted a point.

Held up very well for the cuvée and vintage. The acidity and tannins give it a fresh streak. A really fun wine!
