Nose of wet stone, an overlapping saltiness, and emerging notes of green pear and apple, with a slight note of pastry or some kind of sweet bread, but only dancing in the background. Color of very pale yellow, with slight flecks or green OB the edges and great legs on a light/medium body. It was too cold to begin with, but overtime the flavor opened up with a nice, balanced acidity, a slightly salty and mineral driven finish and a fruit forward palate, with more apple and pear notes, with some cumquat, star fruit and white peach throughout. Really tasty on its own, and I’d imagine very nice with some afternoon food or brunch.

Steely. Ginger and grated spices. Definitely tastes of red wine terroir. Tightly coiled and almost chewy. Severe, but in a good way. Special stuff.

The nose is almost like a cologne, with a musty funk that comes with age, amber, sandalwood, and even a hint of smoke over a golden fruited background.

Pataille strikes again—electric. Shows the lushness of the vintage but still has great cut and freshness.

Truly a lovely BB - wet stone, pear, ginger, lovely opening/mid. Fresh spring water, salinity. Simple & short finish sadly ends this ride too soon.
