Fresh red cherries, creme fraiche, wet rocks, truffled mushrooms. Energetic rounded acidity, polished satin texture, medium bodied, minimal smooth velvet tannins, long earthy chalky finish. Loads of character, elegance and finesse. In a good place.

Of the 5% of Chassagne-Montrachet devoted to Pinot Noir, they definitely pour the love on when it counts. Subtle bouquet of rose petal, ripe cherry, crisp acidity with inviting fruit. Drinks well young. Five years would be better.
