I like this a lot more than the 2016. Intense and powerful, yet still light bodied and evenly balanced. Bright cherries, forest floor, a touch of blueberries. Smells like after an April rain.

Presents with a beautiful translucent dark ruby red with a clear rim. Medium bodied nice long finish. I am getting cranberries, cherries, rhubarb and wet leaves! Nice wine at 14.5 alc. No burn and going down like candy! A chill on this makes earthy characteristics shine! Opens sufficiently..45 min decant!
