The 2012 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir is a gorgeous showing. Upon opening, this was initially a bit restrained, but after a few hours of air contact it blossomed with aromas of mushroom, forest floor and red cherry. The palate yields delicious flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, and raspberry, with nice depth and minerality. This rock solid Pinot has the richness and balance of a great vintage, but should really be held in the cellar for two years before opening. Aged 16 months in French oak, 63% new. Drink 2019-2030- 93

Their Flagship Wine, made consistent from vintage to vintage defining their standard to measure against all of their Pinot’s. Vivid clear Ruby with complex aromas of rich fruit and spices, aged for 16 months in French oak (57% new). The palate yields elegant fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry and sweet currants with notes of herb pepper and a hint of citrus zest. The wine is well balanced and finishes long with smooth tannins, ending with notes of cacao, mineral and oak.

Ruby red in the glass. Cherry and vanilla on the nose. Plenty of ripe cherry and red berries on the palate with spicy oak notes and hints of cola finishing with silky smooth tannins. While the oak influence is prominent, it certainly isn't overdone and this should please those looking for a middle road between big Pinot and a little more elegance.

Very nice pinot! Vibrant and perfumed nose of light brown sugar, black cherry, clove and cedar. The pallet is deep and concentrated, exhibiting red currant and lush cherry fruits, pepper, dried baking herbs, and ripe tannins. Delicious finish, addictive acidity.
