Domaine Rolet
L'Etoile Chardonnay
Tangy lemon, bitter grapefruit, apple cider, wet stones, a touch of browned butter and vanilla. Slight nutty oxidized finish. Liking this Jura chard but I’m still a hard pass on savagnin

Pale lemon-green colour, lemon zest, white almond, nougat, chalk dust and a touch of cream on nose, then very clean light- to medium-bodied palate, great line and length, high but soft acidity and the wine packing plenty of fruit and complexity into its tight frame, finishing long and with chalk stone minerality.

Dry and earthy. Matches well with mushroom dishes.
