Les Mulots Macon-Villages Chardonnay

Pale lemon-hued. Aromas of almond, bread, cheese, cream, pear, wet stone, and yogurt. Medium body and acidity. Mainly flavors of cream and pear on the palate with a balanced, lasting, drying finish. Wonderfully complex and elegant.

The parcel of Les Mulots is located in Cortevaix, a small village between Cluny and Cormatin, approximately 30 kms from Fuissé. Golden with aromas of green fruit and citrus scents. Palate shows crisp apples and pears with slight mineral finish. Good example of a reasonably priced burgundy. Tasting Sample.

Citrus in the nose with grapefruit, green grapes and lemon in the palate. The flavor was not enhanced with cheese.

Good Chardonnay, not oaky, but high alcohol feel. Alcohol dominates the taste.

Medium gold color. Aromas of orange blossoms, Meyer lemon and almond butter. Crisp, lemon custard with a marzipan finish. Great Chardonnay!

Hard to rate - very mood dependent; I liked it better on the 2d day

Clean and refreshing with notes of cream, green apple, strawberry, and almond.

Very earthy old world smell. Good to taste but not a go-to for me

2014: A nice, complex and pleasant vin with body.
