Domaine Robert Chevillon
Nuits-Saint-Georges Pinot Noir
The nose on this is spectacular... expansive, with dark complex red fruit, a rich earthy base and gorgeous floral details. The palate is dull in comparison, but still tasty, with solid plum fruit and a slightly abrupt finish.

May 30th, 2021Bright and lithe, happy but not ecstatic fruit. Lovely, just not exactly Super Bowl wine ;)

1 person found it helpfulMar 2nd, 2014This needs a little air, 30-45 minutes brings out the full range of aroma and flavor of this basic, but very delicious Burgundy. More silky and refined NSG, so while also only a village wine the perfume is elegant florals, earth and red fruits.

Dec 26th, 2016Good, but ready to drink. Very savory in a briny olive way. Not as green as I thought it might be though.

Oct 19th, 20142000. In colors, #wine was cammo green and peanut butter brown. Insanely herbal on the front end, no fruit and slight oxidation.

Aug 8th, 2014NSG VV. Opened at 8:15 drunk at 10:30 with grass-fed ribeye. Experience has taught me that Chevillon is a drink it young or old wine. Curiosity got the best of me. On opening: reduced, moderately tannic. Swirling glass aggressively opens up to red brambly fruit, some earth. With food after a couple hours: reduction has blown off, floral nose, red-fruited, bosky, earthy, ferrous. Palate reflects this, albeit with a more fundamental sweetness that's really lovely. I sense this will shut down fairly soon and be gorgeous on the other side. Rebuy. Sometimes, I haven't tried Chevillon in a while is a good question to ask and answer.
