This was all toasty oak on opening, a bit raw, took time for the wild, burly dark fruit to come out. Evocative and multi-dimensional, showing heaps of both fruit and savory elements and nice breadth on the mid palate. I could have done without the grainy, raspy texture however. Very nice, if a bit roasted. Decant recommended

We had the 2009 vintage on 5/13/16. A darker garnet color. More earth tones on the bouquet. No tannin, smooth mouth feel right out of the bottle. More mushroomy, earthy than fruity for this medium bodied wine with a terrific finish. Just fabulous. Similar to Lost Ranch 2009.
