Domaine Rémi Jobard
En Luraule Meursault Chardonnay
Meursault, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of about an hour. No formal notes. Sourced from an acre parcel right next to Gouttes d’Or, the 2022 “En Luraule” is richly textured and endowed with good fruit, character and substance. A touch reductive. My first experience with Jobard and hope to cross paths with it again sometime; especially with more time. 50/50 barrique and foudre; the former approximately 20% new. Drink now through 2037.

Jul 6th, 2025I wasted this! It's not even close to showing its true beauty. Give it 4 more years, at least, and don't worry about premox with Jobard. This laser beam of acidity was better the second day open, truly a sexy beautiful wine that I wish I had kept longer. Apples, white flowers, lots of citrus underpinning everything with a massive streak of minerality through it all.

Lovely, but much less reduction than another one of Jobard’s 18s I had earlier this year (I was hoping for more of that reductive streak). Wasn’t as good on day 2 so I think these should be consumed over the next 5 years or so.

Organic. More pear & apple vs butter & vanilla, but present. Almond and crushed stone. Creamy tension. Pure pleasure.
