May 4th, 2018Remembering rewarding this wine from the 2010 vintage a 3-digit score. This might well get there as well, but as it was bottled last week; not yet. Shy, yet intense aromas where crushed summer berries and pronounced minerals take centre stage. Almost explosive on the palate where sweet tannins counterbalance rich fruit, pan fried herbs and iron like minerality. Fresh, long and layered finish. Pretty astonishing, actually. 97+

A little tight at PnP, but already delicious. After 24 and then 48 hrs open, it blossomed. Chocolate covered dark cherries, black raspberry, a touch of licorice and some char. Smooth tannins. Deliciously layered.
