Domaine Paul Pillot
Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Very pleasant
Aristocratic Burgundian style
It’s a magnificent raspberry that meats pomegranate and peaches
Aromatic herbs as if there’s no tomorrow
Drinking well
No snob at all
For everyone to enjoy 💥💥💥

Another excellent red made but a white burgundy expert. This very elegant and understated, with violets and delicate spices, medium body, very fresh and relatively long. Among the best value for money we had in a long time.

Capa muy baja, en nariz notas vegetales, fondo meloso, fruta roja poco madura, algunas notas de sueciedad en nariz. En boca entrada ligera, paso ligero y final no muy agradable.

Small red berries, earth, licorice, small amount of spice on the nose; small red berries, leaf litter, spice, medium tannin, high acidity on the palate; makes the fruit seem a bit sour and a bit out of balance. Decently long finish. For a basic Bourgogne rouge it is a decent enough wine, however for 54 dollars in my market it is hardly a bargain. If I factored in price I’d probably rate 8.6.

Light, elegant, touch strawberries, morello cherry. Overall a good wine but - 40$ for a Bourgogne - really?

A nice fit with horse radish crusted Salmon, Brussels sprouts and tomato risotto.

Probably one of the greatest values of this year in red burgundy. Elegant aromas of flowers and a hint of spices, followed by civilized tanins in a medium length mouth. Does not have lots of complexity but its a feast for the senses at this price point. Drink or hold. Highly recommended !
