I’m not always a huge fan of Meo wines, BUT when you hit it at the right time, with the right age and the oak is background noise, you can really experience the magic. Especially from Brulées. And 02 Aux Brulées showed serious weight and density packed with structure and muscle, but balanced out by the vintage. A special wine. Fantastic.

A fine effort for the vintage. I actually didn't think it was an 04' in our blind, as the greeness of the vintage only revealed itself when the bottle was nearly empty. Quite fragrant. Dark red fruits, Vosne spice, violet, rose, pine, and a slight vegetal edge with more air. The palate's quite dark and soft, backed by a savoury touch and mineralic drive. Silky texture and long finish. Powerful, yet elegant. Really enjoyed this wine. Not hitting in extreme heights, but balanced and a wine I would be delighted to drink again.

NB: 04 red burgs have been quite surprising lately. The vintage seems to be turning out quite alright.

Earth and fungi with a sharp acidic backbone. Potentially fading, but quite delicious.

What a spectacular young bottle of wine! Soaring aromatics and nice grippy tannins. #meo #brulees #vosne #redburgundy

Happy to taste the '93, but I just don't taste much in '93s at this stage of their evolution.
