Opened with an overpowering smell of manure but blew off after a decant and about 20 minutes. Then it’s quite nice—bright acidity, good depth of fruit.

Crunchy but darker than a typical Fleurie.

Purpley/crimson with only mid transparency. Quite nice and bright. More of a burgundy taste profile than some, leaning towards blackcurrant and wet forest floor. Potentially reflects a good vintage as nicely in balance.

Red and black fruits, mineral, fine tannin, med acidity. There’s some nice material here but this felt a bit closed. Will hold my remaining bottle for several years to see where it goes.
