Day two. Hints of white pepper, touch of new leather, brambly blue fruit that carries into the beautifully textured palette, very fresh and round. Nice soft acid. This wine is a STEAL.

Really nice balance of old and new world. Lots of red cherries and lots of barnyard funk. Delish!

2010 from Mag. I believe this was raised all in tank and it tastes of it, firmly clenched and still slightly shy on the noise. Others at the table *loved* it. Would it offers plenty of intensity in the nose, the palate lacked a bit of structure. I'm not sure if I would prefer it fruitier or more tannic, but it left me wanting more...

So so I want to be mad at this. But I can't, it's freaking delicious. While I do think the Granache could use a little bit more generosity than this, does this leave us to be more similar to Beaujolais than the Rhone , I still think it's awesome.
