Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir

a little light in body for vougeot but holy smokes! this is one of the best bottles of grivot I've ever had.

Delicious. Needs to open up still. Soft and balanced. Structured.

A go to Clos Vougeot producer in an excellent vintage. Really pretty!

Lovely nose loaded with baked cherry loamy earth with hints of clove and cinnamon. The rich mouthfeel and balanced acidity and tannins nicely complement the seductive fruit and wet earth flavor profile. Long finish of baking spices and black cherries.

Very young. Needs time but not great in its basic profile. Strangely simple in aroma profile though pleasant

Lovely hints of red and black fruits with cherries and blackberries costing the palate.

This was really good. Showed a lot of minerality to accompany the crunchy red fruits.

Dark fruits, iron and some musty basement in this amazing start to the evening. Constant tannins present for a strong finish.
