Way to early but strong taste of pear and white fruit/flowers. Very promising

Solid example of the GC but to be honest I've never really been impressed with Chartron, they tick a few boxes, but when it comes to a wine that moves you, this isn't the producer I would talk about, mediocrity is a harsh word, but it's what I've found so often, considering the price...

Pop and pour. I want to follow, but this is disappearing very quickly. On the nose, the word purity comes to mind; all the aromas are so well-delineated and yet simultaneously well-blended. Lime oil, crushed pine nuts, evergreen sap, loads of crushed stone, peach. On the palate: fantastic acidity, absolutely amazing density, wet stone, sappy lime, soft reduction. The intensity is really amazing, and a fantastically long, slightly spicy finish.

I don’t know if this is what Ramonet gets for their Chevy in trade for Batard but it certainly didn’t have the Ramonet mint/menthol. A lean balanced very clean rendition, lemon and other citrus, great texture and finesse, not real powerful but very persistent and enjoyable. Very light on its feet, it has a litheness I love about Chevalier.

Same as the Ramonet: I need to retaste. This followed an onslaught of northern rhones, barolos, and brunellos. My palate was already fatigued. I did pick up on it’s expansive mineralality and acidity. Only complaint was it seemed closed off and the oak was poking through.

Refined and tight aromas minty vanilla. A faint light caramel on a beautiful light fruit with a nice bright acidity and excellent finish. Really, really good stuff. Rated it so much higher this time around, I wonder how much is the effect of what I tasted before.
