Domaine J. A. Ferret
Tête de Cru Les Perrières Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay
Pretty rich, but still retains elegance.

Too much oak for me but pleaser all the way around. Love the acid

Feb 1st, 2016Beautiful Chardonnay. But I could do without the oak. Crisp green apple, high acid, medium plus body-then the oak kicks in.

Aug 5th, 2015This wine was a total heartbreaker. We won't ever see wines like this from here again. Pure. Delicious.

Apr 14th, 2023Attack on freshness and minerality. Body enriched with a beautiful material, final carried by a high-class breeding, with hazelnut notes rarely tasted. To be tasted in 5 years, great potential.
Attaque sur la fraîcheur et la minéralité. Corps étoffé d’une belle matière, finale porté par un élevage de grande classe, aux notes noisettes rarement goûtées. À regoûter dans 5 ans, gros potentiel.

Here's a finely balanced #bourgogneblanc that drinks so pleasantly by itself - touch of oak, good acid, a bit more fruit forward but still some steely minerality. It's a really versatile pairing wine - believe it or not, it paired well with some mild enchiladas and refried black beans, with that brightness and fruit cutting through the richness of the cheese and beans.

Light gold color with lemon and oak notes on the nose. Excellent minerality and Chardonnay fruit flavors on the entry with lingering fruit on the palate but as it airs oak predominates which I don’t find unpleasant. The aftertaste lasts a full 40 seconds.

Jun 16th, 2018A fun combo of spice and reductive notes accent the ripe apple and lemon peel fruit notes. Nice precision on the palate with ripe citrus fruit and earthy mineral tones. Just entering a phase we’re it shows complexity. Fun and inviting finish.
