So stupidly classic. Wet wool, ripping acid, bruised apples, chamomile tea, and plenty of limestone. Really hoping that top 5 wine of the year rating doesn't cause this to skyrocket.

Had this with some spicy Szechuan food tonight and it just rocked. The perfect amount of fruit development and RS made the wine sing! One of my very favorite Chenin producers. It made the linear acid bomb Chenins I've had recently look like child's play

2015. I have been eyeing the numerous vintages, vineyards, and levels of sweetness of Chenin Blanc in the Oven’s deep cellar for years. Tonight was a good night to try this Demi-sec and the Moelleux of the same vintage. The Demi-sec had beautiful honey and tropical fruit aromas and flavors. The Moelleux had a fuller body, but the Demi-sec was my favorite!

Glorious Chenin blanc. Still very young tasting. Lovely nose of sweet apple, lanolin, homeysuckle and nettle. On the palate: fantastic acidity, good density: sweet apple, lemon oil, and crushed limestone. Very nice finish. Still showing rather young, but very good.
