Les Charmes Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Crushed red berries, cherry compote, black tea, sweet berry acidity.

Wonderful fruit. My previous try with Chambolle-Musigny was all about the mineral earthiness. But this is gorgeous fruit and spice.

Wine of the night at Bocuse restaurant at CIA NY up in Hyde Park.

Bright raspberry fruit with excellent balance, acidity, and structure. This really excelled paired with the food.

Wine hit its stride about 2.5 hours into decant. Bright raspberry on the initial nose and then depth showed later. Really enjoyed this with a ramp pesto trofie pasta.

Super beau Chambolle, a eu besoin d’air, fruits rouges et noirs, assez dense et soyeux comme texture, croquant, assez tight et jeune encore mais s’est montré superbe une fois ouvert avec de l’air un peu. Bien hâte de boire les prochaines dans quelques années. 92-93

Gorgeous Chambolle more on the powerful and tight side right now, needed air to show the gorgeous red and dark fruit, impressive texture, silky and enveloping, balanced and needs more time for the next bottles but great potential.

Un nez vraiment aromatique et qui pinote à souhait, du fruit rouge et noir à revendre, griottes, des épices, du fruit mur sans excès en bouche aussi, un vin qui a de la matière, une texture assez riche tout en ayant une belle fraîcheur, belle longue finale délicieuse. Bien sur encore très jeune mais tellement prometteur. 92-93

Gorgeous aromatic nose with red and dark fruit that we also find in the fresh, balanced, rich and silky palate, great length and amazing finish too.
