Purple fruit. Quite reticent on the nose. Deep quite savory flavors. Maybe a bit shut down? not very expressive

Restrained and pretty with earthy blue undertow. Poised fruit not too hot. Good

Multi dimensional Pinot with delicate fruit and ample acidity. Love the sugary sour combo!

Very closed with grippy tannins - has great structure & power but really not giving up much at the moment - wait at least another 5 years minimum

Oh my. What a shame. I love Burgundy. I love Nuits St Georges. I love Henri Gouges. But man, what a terrible wine. This is the third bottle of this I have tried, and they are all consistently bad. Unripe and vegetal nose, astringent and acidic palate and harsh tannins. Awful. #burgundy #nuitsstgeorge #whatashame #disappointing #disaster

This fancy bottle of 04 Burg had more of the draw backs of the vintage that I have heard about rather than experienced. That being said, I still enjoyed it immensely. Light body, dark fruit, herbal aromas, great acid, but not all in perfect harmony... maybe in time?
