Opened just prior to dinner. The 2008 Coteau de Vernon pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of peach cup with the pears and cherry too. There’s white flowers, honey, fresh mint and other herbs too. Wow! On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and oily. This bottle came across young. A benchmark Condrieu. Drink now through 2038.

Steely minerality, only medium acidity but it balances nicely with the acacia, lemon, pear, white peach and wet stone flavors of this lovely wine.

It’s basically DRC Montrachet in Viognier form. Insanely elegant.

Excellent. Fantastic. Pure and focused... in my opinion this is the top Condrieu with everything else coming in a far second. Such a beautifully floral nose complimented by essential oils. Orchid fruit galore
