Les Goulots Vieille Vigne Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Very pretty wine. Excellent with Widgeon.

Wow, what a beauty. Decanted for 2 hours, intensely aromatic, precise and energetic showing black raspberries, candied red cherries, flowers, hints of orange peel and packed with minerals. Finishes with exceptional length. The tannins are present and firm but the wine’s superb balance along with the combination of Fourrier’s style and the ripe vintage make it in a wonderful place now and with a certainty to improve with age.

Ripe and ready, but no need to hurry.

Beautiful light ruby color. The nose is so pure with raspberry and ruby red grapefruit followed by cracked pepper. So pure and lively and not a bit 'green'. Wonderful 2013 and a wonderful way to bid good by #carmelgourmetfest and also pay homage to the old Masters of Food and Wine (we sipped on this at the Highlands Carmel after the final event of gourmetfest)

Full of verve and complex fruit. Great now, but probably better in 3-4 years.

Sculptured, aromatic, reminds to oyster shells, crunchy red fruit and hit of French funk. Drink now till 2028
