Out of half bottle. Initially backward. After 30 minutes to an hour of air, very pretty and opened for business. Was curious about what Faiveley had done in the past with this vineyard after drinking countless bottles since Mugnier has taken over.

Tannic, fruit still red but certainly sappy. Lacking some depth and "elegance"

First experience with Marechale pre-Freddy. What it lacks in fineness it makes up for in brawn. Still very lovely. 375ml

Very dark rubi robe, no signs of 18 year old. From a half bottle which is remarquable. Notes of flowers and spices, medium bodied, balanced, great acidity and fruit. One of the last vintages before JF Mugnier took it back. Great stuff !

Great wine to cap off our last night in Bourgogne - Faiveley stopped making these in 2003 so this was a real treat to find and experience with a 6 course Burgundian meal. It delivered a strong velvety body with some real oak and dark berry, and left a decent aftertaste to enjoy.
