Lights out good! Subtle, textural, balanced glycerol richness and phenolic bite, very and lively given its curves. Bosc pear, pineapple, yellow apple, white flowers, lees, hazelnut and a touch of nutmeg and spice. These are downright delicious white Rhônes that have failed to disappoint

Rocking Roussanne. The freshness on the palate of these micro cuvee St. Perays is just unreal. They drink like nothing else in the Rhone. If Pur Blanc is the Montrachet of the lineup then this is the Chevalier as this is an awesome elegant Roussanne. Like Grand Cru level. Stunning nose. So complex, yellow fruits, pear, mineral, tree bark, earthy, quince but so refined and clear. Amazingly clear actually. Yellow plum. The palate is masterful. Concentrated yet so elegant with such texture and just awesome balance. This is next level Roussanne made in tiny batches. What finish. Fruit is plum, yellow peach, mango, papaya, but so fresh and not vulgar. All class. Just nuts.

Very tight to start, certainly needs a good ol' airing, fruit is taught and green, think lime skin but with a mealy, mineral depth. Clearly needs at least a few more years in the cellar. Palate again has that weighty glycerol and is quite restrained and tight on the finish, stone fruits but again well restrained. Cellar it.

Elegant nose that shows light honey and white flowers, polished green apple and under ripe peach with mineral touches, vanilla and even some split pea character. Developed well in the glass with smoky, tight nutty notes.
In the mouth there is substantial glycerol giving weight to the palate, bags of giving fruit, rich apple and stone fruit, decent acidity giving lift. Great, weighty, winter white.

If you are not drinking this producer at these prices you are nuts. Absolutely nuts. Top of the chain quality. Cheap compared to other elite white wines.

Nose is tropical flowers. So elegant. Wafting.

Palate is mountain stream infused with tropical fruit. Mineral. Balanced. Joyously elegant.

Fass selections.

No formal notes. Lush & clean. Tropical notes, nice texture, and no flab.

Lost a lot of the nose in a years time. Perhaps in a dull phase or drink up asap? On the palette a bit too much acidity.
