Cornas Vin Noir Syrah

Needed a knock you on your ass so obviously great wine and decided on this. 17 is in a great place as well. Deep nose of blackberry, granite, soil tones, and blueberry. So much but so precise and focused. A lovely pottery studio aroma after air. Palate is ripe and juicy with wonderful precision and freshness and really terrific and succulent fruit. The elegance here is top notch. Beautiful mouthfeel and awesome purity. Such vivid fruit and backed up by terrific granite. Masterful wine. So poised. Let’s see what air does. Maybe it will get better? Long finish that pumps out blackberry on a granite slab. Just awesome. 9.6999.

Immediately on the nose, heady perfume of appealing black syrah fruit: sex, smoke, meat, sweetness, a feral quality. Black fruit bursts on the palate with waves of toasted cacao and coffee notes. Dark spices linger on the finish. This is pure pleasure, and despite not a ton of acidity, it remains vibrant with its depth of flavor. The only thing holding it back are silky but slightly bitter tannins that hold on the finish. I think these will fall out and based on the structure it will keep getting better.

Wow. Just wow. Deep and so pure. Elegant and layered like lush red velvet curtains in a parlour. Unreal refinement. Incredible deep vivid granite like minerality. Stunning. Black and violet flowers as well. Palate is just one of the best Cornas of the vintage. No hard edges and nuclear levels of fruit on slabs of granite with such fine grained tannins. So fine yet so big. This is unreal. The quality of the tannins is just unreal. Incredible acidity and freshness. Dazzling.

Gorgeous nose. Granite infused dark berry goodness. Stunningly deep and precise aromas. Pungent, stanky, exciting. Feral. Palate is impossibly juicy and pure. Unreal intensity berry intensity. So complex and so fresh and so pure. Granite slides all over your palate. Unreal wine. So clean. Amazing structure and finesse. One of the best wines in Cornas. Amazingly elegant for such a big boy.

Huge nose. Black pepper and violets. Dark, concentrated and super young. Intense and fresh. But so effin' young. So dark and so fresh. Love this.

Beautiful nose with a strong dark fruit core. Alongside you can find cinnamon, underbrush, grilled herbs and a hint of meat. Appeals very young on the palate. Nice amont of fruit & acid left. Tannins are there but very soft. If you can get a well stored bottle this can age easily another 15-20 years imo.

Crazy nose. Super complex. Mineral. Wow. Genius wine.

Nose : swirling lilacs. Blackberries. A hint of bacon fat.

Palate is perfect blackberry. A hint of coffee. Delicious.

Corked but the cellophane brought it back to decent drink ability

Another excellent Cornas. This was a bit more ripe and round than the Vincent Paris Granit 60 VV Cornas.
