We should all be drinking more Lebanese wine. Their economy could use the help in general, and the wine industry specifically. This is an interesting wine, made from old vines (70+) and a mix of Syrah, Tempranillo, and Cinsault. The Tempranillo and Cinsault are direct-pressed and see no skin contact, while the Syrah macerated for a couple of days. It’s got a wonderful smoked orange peel and clove character mixed with cherry and dried green herbs. Excellent acidity and length. Domaine des Tourelles has been making wine in the Bekaa valley since 1868, and is still owned by the Brun family who founded it.

May 24th, 20212018 vintage. A blend of Cinsault (40%), Syrah (30%) and Tempranillo (30%). Vineyards at 1050 m altitude in the Bekaa Valley. Serious gastronomic rosé, don't serve it too cold. Complex nose with watermelon, crushed strawberries and a hint of roses. Concentrated and layered fruit, fresh acidity, subtle spices and an impressively long ripe red grapefruit finish. An amazing high class rosé at only 13 euros! Note: this is one of the oldest estates in a Lebanon, established in 1868, and apparently it was the first Lebanese winery to produce Rosé wine, in 1964.

Wow! Fresh, pure. Strawberries and red cherries; Grenache seems dominant. Clean, mouthfilling; finishes long and dry. Excellent. #bekaavalley #roséwine

Aroma intenso a manzanas, tono ligero a vainillas, excelente para una tarde calurosa!
