Domaine des Perdrix
Aux Perdrix Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Pronounced bouquet of red fruits on the nose with a hint of meat, licorice. On the palate, it’s an elegant mix of sour cherries, bit of earth, acidity that keeps you salivating for more, several layers/dimensions that overlay one another but not overpowering.

Jul 1st, 2023Needed almost an hour decant to settle down after an awkward open, revealing a nose of dark cherry and strawberry, cedar. This wine compels, getting over its skis and driving a core of sexy tannins surrounding ripe, mineral-rich earth-tones and more dark cherry. Superb. At least 5 maybe 10’years to go.

It needed to be decanted for about 30 minutes. I get on the nose soy sauce, forest floor. Palate- Red fruits, black cherries, light tannins & moderate acidity. A nice lingering finish to it. Extremely enjoyable! You're one of the good guys! Thanks buddy! @Ron R

Just what I wanted tonight.
The nose is a model of restraint, with redcurrants, raspberries with superb sandalwood undertones.
The palette is precise and nuanced . Acidity tilts it towards being nervy. It still has a firm structure with polished tannins. The finish persists and expands with black cherries, prominent minerailty and a touch of sweetness.
This is why burgs are a reference point when it comes to Pinot - outstanding.

Really in a good place fruit still upfront and balanced with nice forest floor and earthiness on the back end. Could go longer but a pleasure right now
