At first a a bit stinky. Dense fruit with dark plum. Purity after the slightly off start. Some green notes. Holding up well! Jef ROPP

Tasted blind. Tawny color. Killer nose. Notes of bing cherry, raspberry, green olive tapenade and some other herbal notes. So very rich in the mouth. We’re pretty sure it’s burgundy but we’re guessing maybe some Syrah was added, as happened some times way back when. I concur with someone and a guess of 59 P Ponelle Musigny. We’re all amazed at how well this held up and showed.

After the Sadyer family sold the vineyard the wines went from strength to strength. True grand cru in good year at its summun.

Really very lovely. Not quite at the level of some of the for example older Ponsots that we have had, but still obviously excellent. Opened a couple hours in advance, better as the night wore on so probably could have used a decant. Paired with a very simple butter basted filet and some mushrooms. Great depth, balanced fruit and real earth. Quite a bit of power.

A quick decant and five minutes later this was singing. Has the Morey St. Denis signature.

I'm a really big fan of this flavor - Ripe strawberry. The Tanins are very subtle. Actually tasted even better the second day.
