Clos de la Baronne Meursault Chardonnay

Bright pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes, from a small production. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and ripe citrus with notes of white flowers and nutty flinty spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus, biscuits and mineral spice. Nice! Still young! Give it some time in the bottle!

What’s not to love - lemon meringue, pine needles, and chalk.

Tangy medium bodied accessible but of course wait 5 to 8 years. Great effort.

Beautifully integrated oak - brioche, toast, and musk undertone, Meyer lemon, fresh apricot, yellow crisp apple, and crushed stones. Creamy and textured on the palate. Long finish.

Tasty 2014 from Lafon. Wonderful precision and great acidity with length and richness. Would benefit from another few years but delicious now with a good decant.
