Domaine des Chasseignes
Aurore Dezat Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

2022 I believe. Very flinty, citrus, lemon oil, touch of passion fruit, crushed rocks and great minerality. Lunch on the grounds at Versailles :)

More full bodied than a typical Sancerre but has plenty of acidity and minerality. Lemon, lemon pith, chalky undertones. Refreshing and easy

Minerally, fresh, a bit herbal/grassy . A bit of lemon/lime fruit. The palate leans into the herbal side, with fruit taking a back seat. Not a lot of concentration in the mid-palate, but the finish is relatively long and fresh.
UPDATE: After 48 hours under a Vacu-Vin closure, it’s gotten more herbal and the finish, bitter.

A tad too light for my palate but does provide the taste range of Sancerre. I'd suggest to buy 2 or 3 bottles and crack them open on a hot August LA night. Definitely not worth the $20 I laid out.

Gravel, a bit of grapefruit. Lots of acidity. Certainly not a “blow u off (away) wine”, but pleasant with scampi. Would b a good summer white.

Terre blanche soils. Very clean crisp nose. Citrus and mineral notes. Fresh palate with dominant mineral character. Citrus aftertaste. Good grip.
