Grassy and hint of goat cheese, crottin? Crazy texture and such purity. What flavors. Nose is herbal and complex and has a vast array, lavender and weird colored flowers. underarm, funk, cheese, smells like a something from the pfalz, oh my god the acid in this is bracing. Lemony has soft texture. Engaging medicinal apothecary aromas.

Awesome. So saline on the nose and so high acid and textured on the palate.

Omg. This is great!

Sick on open.

Nose. Hints of chenin but in a Burgundian way. So much less it’s interesting and not annoying. elegant. Floral. Intense.

Palate is juicy. Rich. Intense. Crazy freshness

Tastes like very good puligny.

Must buy. Very distinctive.

Vintage 2018 | curious grape: Tressallier. Flint and minerals in nose. The mouthfeel is terrifically good: roundness and power. Beautiful white wine | Paired with a Liege salad | for me: a trouvaille ~ did not know this grape

High acid, fabulous texture, saline/mineral/pear accord, lovely work. Buzzing with intelligence. Another Saint-Pourçain winner from @Lyle Fass

Don’t know why the other ratings for this wine are so low as it’s easily one of my wine discoveries of last year. An insane wine. You can smell the acid on the nose along with lemongrass, wet stones, greengage, and just and aromatic mineral rainbow. Stunning. Smells like Grand Cru Chablis X Grand Cru Chenin. So good. A true sense of place here. A 9.7 nose. Like a scene in nature. What a palate. Huge concentration and an elegant density lead to very very strong acids and a an engaging lemon-like piquant aspect. Structured. This needs mega air as my last bottle showed. Perfect balance and just unreal purity. What textured and roundness yet juxtaposed with incredible acids, minerals and freshness. Genius! After air this gets an awesome treacly texture and becomes a liquid wine sweet tart. What a finish. That finish just cranks after air. 9.6 to 9.7.

Now we are taking. 100% Tressallier. A Val de Loire from St. Pourcain as you can’t have 100% Tressalier be St. Pourcain. Has to be blended with Chardonnay. Anyway. What a wine. Nose is green grass and lemon candy. Salty and high toned. Gorgeous minerality. So focused and a sense of deepness and refinement. 50 types and textures of lemon on the nose. Candied, fresh, flesh, rind, Meyer. The whole shebang. Stunning. Palate is concentrated, serene and so silky. This is so classy. Amazing texture and so delicate. Stunning purity and freshness. Blew me away. Long and clearly delineated finish. So complex and mineral. This reminds me of so many things but it’s really it’s own thing. Like a hypothetical blend of Boudignon Anjou Blanc/Brisset/Mullen Kab Trocken. Insane

As this airs the nose gets more saline, confectionary, and just crazy. So airy. A Chablisien vibe enters at minute 30. So well made. Holy acids!
