Domaine des Ardoisières
Schiste Vin de pays d'Allobrogie Altesse
A unique blend, mostly Jacquere with Roussanne, Malvasia, and Mondeuse. Medium lemon color with aromas of white flesh and citrus fruits with notes of white flowers. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and citrus notes with honeysuckle and nutty notes. Long finish ending with fruit, floral and oaky notes.

Mar 10th, 2021Absolutely delicious - mostly Roussanne, with some Jacquère and Mondeuse. Starts off floral / mineral / slate / tight, with good mouthfeel but without the waxy texture / heaviness that can make Roussanne cloying. After an hour of air, it's a stunner - round and broad, exotic and super refined. The texture is the star here, just mouthcoating and almost slippery. Supporting flavors of peach, cinnamon, vanilla. So much focus, detail...I can still taste it now, the next day...so good...
