Not sure the @Delectable Wine identification is correct because I don’t know if “Cabriole” is a different cuvée than the regular Cheverny. But close enough, I guess. This is a Pinot blend with a little Gamay, I think. Really exuberant nose has tons of ripe, lively red berry and sappy cherry fruit, limestoney minerality, and a little wet loam earthiness. High-toned and fruity in the mouth, it’s a fun drink, with zingy acids and just about zero tannin. Worked well with a chicken and artichoke casserole.

Bored and isolated in the basement with Covid - drank this over two evenings and enjoyed it both nights. Pinot dominant, but more structure from its other blended varietals. Started vegetal and opened into some wood shavings and cherry. Some oxidation? I don’t hate it. Strawberry and woody accents. Nice and pleasing and thoughtful.

2nd bottle, 10 months later. A lot of fruit at the opening: strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants. It is a virtuous blend combining generous Gamay with nuanced Pinot Noir. Compared to the first bottle, the wine becomes more supple, the acidity now being less pronounced. Almost oily, chalky mineral structure, typical of Loire wines due to grounds. It will develop favorably for a few more years.

Mix of Gamay and Pinot Noir, with a touch if Malbec. Beautiful bouquet, balanced and sophisticated. freshness and lightness, Malbec brings a little grip that is nice. Drink refreshed with everything you want (except spicy dishes)
