2005 vintage. 85% Sauvignon and 15% Sémillon. White magic. One of the best white Bordeaux, and this bottle surely delivers at 16 years old. Amazingly young. A masterclass in subtlety and balance. Extraordinary depth in a classy understated style. Tremendous length. A true meditation wine.

Absolutely fantastic wine. Barely showing any signs of age but the complex and dynamite aromas sing. This is drinking well but easily has another 15-20 years or more.

Plush with abundant fruit and cushion. A lot of enjoyment now but not for the long haul.

The “assemblage” Sauvignon and sémillon 85/15 is just perfect. Lemon, grapefruit, and exotic fruits are mixed in an amazing and smooth way. Absolutely fabulous, the best white Pessac Léognan, I have ever drink.., just unbelievable. I need to buy more of this 2005! That was my last bottle. Parker: 95

I’ve never had a white this old taste so young. Usually you get that amber color and butterscotch - not this wine. Stone fruit with great balance and acidity. Little bit of almond on the finish. Awesome

Light lemon coloured , not deep. Honeyed nose , lemon rind , mineral . Quite rich and enveloping . On the palate more of the honeyed and citrus rind and mineral backbone. Balancing acidity , long mineral finish: it is a big concentrated wine that needs food. I am imagining that this is at a nice stage now though will last, probably improving over the next couple of years . This is the second bottle from 6 bottles that I personally imported into Brazil and took forever to arrive , tied up at customs apparently. Not sure if this voyage has affected the evolution of this wine. The first bottle did seem slightly more advanced. Will have to try a bottle left in the U.K.
