Belle Lurette Faugères

So soft on the palate it was a welcome companion to some charcuterie and hard cheeses. Brambly fruit, ash minerality, chalky but soft and smoke on the finish. Well made.

Lively on the palate at first and evolved into something more deep and brooding. Good stuff.

Great, as always. From old vine Carignan, this wine is densely spicy with an abundance if fruit and lots of (unusual and refined) character. A real treasure for Faugeres and the South.

All of the warmth of the Med in the nose. Wild herbs, red fruits and spicy notes. Better on day two and three as there is some unresolved CO2.

Black cherry, red fruit too, med+ body, med tannins. Mostly carignan with Grenache and mouvedre, savoury and garrigue notes, wet stones too. Drink now or hold a few years.

Like tasting stables full of horses.

Liquorice, blackberry and iron. Juicy berry fruit and refreshing acidity, unusual iteration of Carignan.
