Faugères Les Bancèls Mourvedre 2020

Soft, elegant and lovely fruit. It’s not Mourvèdre exclusively, only 15% of that. 50% Syrah, 35% Grenache. Really good. Thanks to my brother for this. Finishing it while listening to Handel’s Messiah. Nice evening — 14 days ago

Les Bancéls Faugères Mourvedre 2021

This is 50% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 15% Mourvèdre. The nose has bright, ripe berry fruit and lots of clean, stony minerality. Balanced, lively, and deep in the mouth. It’s got deep fruit in a dry frame, tannins soft and in the background, and nice acids. Minerality lingers in the finish. Great value and very tasty. — 7 months ago

You certainly find nice wines in unusual places - St Peter’s Church - Santa’s workshop - and best of all bus stops 😂😂

Felgaria Faugères 2013

Soooo much potential. Way too young and a little bit numb at the moment but hints of those complex old mouvèdre scents are just starting to develop. Not her greatest year but still far from its peak. Keep for at least another 10-12 years before opening. Glad I have quite a few cases of this in hibernation. — 6 years ago

Belle Lurette Faugères 2012

Great, as always. From old vine Carignan, this wine is densely spicy with an abundance if fruit and lots of (unusual and refined) character. A real treasure for Faugeres and the South. — 9 years ago
