Lovely attack. Sulfur, lemon oil. Salt. I’ve been told by others who’ve had this before that, compared to other bottles, this lacks a little body in the middle and clarity on the acidity but it’s damn good to me.

Canary gold and bright. Great young Coche nose. Notes of stones and lemons, minerals and spice, and a touch of petrol. Rich and powerful in the mouth, even more so 7 hrs after opening. Palate staining. Give it the air and decanter time it needs to show its stuff.

Of course way too young and very different from the dad’s style, a lot less toasting, little or no reduction. Still beautiful minerality but for me no longer worth the JF Coche Dury prices.

Real break from Jean-François, less reductive, a lot less wood in the nose. More delicate, more balanced, white stone fruit, good acidity, long burn, great acidity. Blind I could have made a mistake, new coche by Raphael, time will tell whether he gets to the same heights as dad.

Everything there except the fruit. Pretty critical I know for a Coche Meursault.
