Waited too long. On the nose: a touch of bruised flowers, golden apple, and banana. On the palate, good acidity, but softer than I would like, banana, bruised apple, oily, and a touch flat on the finish. Glad this is my last btl. The bottle I had 12/17 was much, much better. Haven't had any more recent vintages either.

Pale to medium gold. Nose: pronounced intensity, stone fruit (peach), pear, floral (blossom), mineral (stony, smoky), slight vanilla, slight toast and brioche, slight dairy, no tertiary. Palate: dry, medium to medium - acidity, full body (rich, creamy, weight), high alcohol, medium + finish (all the way to the back of the mouth)

Floral, pineapple, gingerbread, vanilla, oily, full-bodied. Was fortunate enough to visit the Domaine in April of this year (2019) and taste with Isabelle & Henri. The vineyards are no joke in both steepness and beauty. What a lovely couple and amazing wine!

Jun 9th, 2019Flavor explosion, but smooth and well-balanced. Viognier, but to me this is what Chardonnay ought to be. Paired with boiled lobster, worked well. In love with Condrieu right now.

I normally find Condrieu overpowered but this is a superb Viognier @ €43 that paired perfectly with spicy chicken & cashew nut taking you on an ecstatic wine tongue journey 😍
