Sur Le Chêne Maranges Pinot Noir

the texture of crushed raspberries meets spiced almost peppered minerals w flavors of cranberry and cherry ~ nose was a bit muted but I do think this will show a bit more in time

Exactly what I needed tonight

Raspberry nose, full in my mouth, backend missing something.

Weds night special. Nothing serious but absolutely an easy and enjoyable little burg.

Over extracted. Noticeable brett but overall decent at $32.

Medium dark robe, good tension between Maranges stank, floral notes, brambly fruit, and mineral tang. Acid/fruit/earth/tannin matrix spot-on. Perfect with pan-roasted pork chop, Brussels sprouts, buttermilk mashed potatoes. Absolute re-buy.

A #italianwinerchants rec but nothing special. Lacks that special taste of place that #burgundy represents

Spice. Breathing soften the wine a bit.
