Domaine Charvin
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend
More mature than the Boisrenard, I will give the Charvin the slight edge for its charming rusticity and earthy appeal

May 9th, 2023Scarlet tawny, mostly opaque. Great aged Grenache nose. Notes of plums, herbs de Provence, white pepper, a little raspberry and some dark soil. Rich and impactful in the mouth. Tannins are integrated, yielding a luscious finish. Top notch CdP!

Oct 21st, 2020Tawny color. Great herbal nose. Notes of red fruit, herbs de Provence, kirsch, some brown spice and a little sour cherry. Nicely balanced in the mouth. In a great drinking window, I don’t thing this gets any better with more age.
