Domaine Charles Sparr
Tradition Alsace Gewürztraminer
Very pretty candied, floral, Spicey, melon nose, however on the palate is just too sweet and dominates any potential acidity (which I find none of) and overwhelms the more aromatic and definitive characteristics that a well-made Gewürztraminer exhibits. Undefinable but unpleasant finish as well.

Apr 6th, 2015Small amount of residual sugar but hardly detectable. Lychee fruit driven and nice for the season

Nov 7th, 2014Quaffable Gewurz with perfume, fruit and acidity, but a bit simple and lacking any mineral notes to offset the floral sweetness.

Nov 29th, 2015This was a gift. A step higher sweetness level than I usually seek: "Demi-sec" is a conservative assignation. However, beautiful rosy-grapefruit finish, nice structure: beautiful pairing to spicy Thai noodle dish.
