Domaine Bruno Clavelier
Vieilles Vignes Aux Cras Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Big rustic tannin and shows overt oak. But shows leaner on the palate and moving toward secondary flavors. Crunchy blue fruited.

Sep 23rd, 2013This one made me very happy, thanks to almost completely desolved tannins, juicy acidity, balanced oak treatment and great fruit. Wonderful!

Aug 13th, 2013Opened 2 hours ahead. It needed it. Initially quite tart with an oak veneer. After 2 hours it was nicely integrated. More blue and black fruits. Still fairly purple in color. A bigger expression of red burgundy, but delicious!

Jul 5th, 2024Dark ruby robe, nose of spices, crushed flowers and s hint of mint. Very dense and concentrated mouth, more like a Vosne than a Nuits. Very drinkable now but has many years ahead. Old vines type of concentration and if you like the style you should not miss it. Highly recommended !!!

Nov 15th, 2020Delicious this wine. I think that blind and only o the nose I would have said barolo as much the smell of roses is pronounced but the rest brings us back immediately to burgundy with the taste of liquorice, cherries and blackcurrants with a very nice length and aftertaste of truffle. The tannins are medium and the alcohol too. A very nice bottle which is still very much on the fruit side
