Les Chenevottes Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

This was a stunner but I was the least impressed. Fleshy and forward with a bunch of oak but some great mineral structure that gave it a backbone. Definitely became more expressive with air.

Beautifully focused Chassagne!

Definitely premox, but that's only to be expected due to the lack of sulphur, cork, and improperly balanced organic techniques. It wasn't just that though - generally speaking it was very one-dimensional.

Delicious! Great fruit and lots of acidity for the vintage.

Leaner than expected. Acadia fruit, peach, acid. Tense.

Very crisp. Lemon and mineral. Nice with a piece of sole sashimi and dip fried oyster.

amazing texture and layers of flavor. What a great winemaker. Super wine.

Initial richness with a mix of apricot & honeyed citrus. The oak mellows with some air & the floral & more apricot aromatics really bloom. Acidity adds textural notes that take this to another level.

Perfect for the apero, very buttery.
