Day 1: textbook Volnay, violets and raspberries. Day 2: seemed more shutdown, very tight on the finish. Give it a couple more years.

Strawberry on the nose and an uncommon warmth. Weird. The palate has this warmth too as if it was oxidised. It gives the impression of drinking a pineau des Charentes or any mutated wine. Not clearly what I expect from a pinot from the côtes de Beaune! Not really interesting

Real Burgundy. Hard to find at this price point. Textbook Volnay. Aromatic with berry fruit, herbs and spices. Velvety texture and well balanced.
